Novembers Newsletter 2010

This month’s newsletter is all about Sensitive Skin; this type of skin is often thin or fine in texture with visible surface veins, it reacts to heat and cold it sunburns and wind burns easily. It can also be dry and prone to allergic reaction, temperature change. Some detergents, alcohol in products and make-up can cause irritation leaving the skin red, blotchy and dry.

Sensitive skin will benefit from the use of sun cream or lotions choose a product that does not contain potential allergens such as fragrance or alcohol. Using products that is not for your skin type or harsh products on your skin may cause some to believe they have a sensitive skin.

The main causes of sensitivity of the skin are; Stress, Age, Hair Dyes, Pollution, Poor Diet, Genetic such as Dermatitis, Eczema and Psoriasis.

Booking Online

                                                      Online Booking At the end of   my shift on Saturday I checked to see if I had   any bookings for Sunday   I had none, I blocked out the later part of the day and said to myself I will check my column on Saturday night if there is no booking I will go to lunch with a friend.   At 10pm that evening I check my column still no bookings so I blocked out the day and sat back with a nice glass of wine. On Sunday morning I received a bit of a frantic call from my receptionist there is a client at the salon waiting for her facial that she had booked last week. My receptionist said that client was getting a little angry with having to wait for her appointment. I finished that call and received a call from Seymour reception to say there is a client waiting for me and was I okay. My Rubbish Day My Rubbish Day Today I have decided to stop reading my emails, the first one I read this morning told me I was rubbish at writing and presenting my blog and should go on the internet and get some ideas they even left me links to follow.  They could be right about this!!! The second email asks this question” Do you have the clients you want and is your premises the type of place they would like to have their treatments” now I am really having a rubbish day. I have my salon in the basement of a sport center, due to the rain fall this weekend the  basement was flooded there is no light in the corridor and the walls are damp, I need to fine new premises like yesterday. I still have a few more hours to go before I finish my shift I need a glass of wine or a really nice client to come in and cheer me up with a great smile and a happy hello.
