  • Hydration is key
    Drink lots of water. Keep your body hydrated every day to maintain healthy skin and nails.
  • Protect Yourself
    Always wear at least a SPF 15 all year round. Ideally use a moisturizer that includes the SPF in its formulation.     Don’t forget that products usually once opened will only be effective as an SPF for the first 12 months. If in doubt, check the packaging.
  • Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise, Sleep
    Remember to always take off your make up at night. Might seem obvious, but so many forget.
  • Maximise each Package
    Cut your product tubes in half when they are empty, you'll be surprised how much product is hiding inside of the tube
  • Cold is good
    Store nail polish in the refrigerator to maintain a smooth consistency.
  • Scrub that!
    Take care not to use body scrubs on your face, they are too coarse. Pick up a specially formulated one for the face. Guinot / Crystal Clear and gloTherapeutics do great exfoliating products, available at Amber Beauty Salon.
  • Don’t give away the game
    If you want to apply a fake tan at home, before that big night out, don’t forget to use protective gloves, so you can avoid tanned hands to prevent this why not have a     BeauBronz spray tan with us at the salon.

Booking Online

                                                      Online Booking At the end of   my shift on Saturday I checked to see if I had   any bookings for Sunday   I had none, I blocked out the later part of the day and said to myself I will check my column on Saturday night if there is no booking I will go to lunch with a friend.   At 10pm that evening I check my column still no bookings so I blocked out the day and sat back with a nice glass of wine. On Sunday morning I received a bit of a frantic call from my receptionist there is a client at the salon waiting for her facial that she had booked last week. My receptionist said that client was getting a little angry with having to wait for her appointment. I finished that call and received a call from Seymour reception to say there is a client waiting for me and was I okay. My Rubbish Day My Rubbish Day Today I have decided to stop reading my emails, the first one I read this morning told me I was rubbish at writing and presenting my blog and should go on the internet and get some ideas they even left me links to follow.  They could be right about this!!! The second email asks this question” Do you have the clients you want and is your premises the type of place they would like to have their treatments” now I am really having a rubbish day. I have my salon in the basement of a sport center, due to the rain fall this weekend the  basement was flooded there is no light in the corridor and the walls are damp, I need to fine new premises like yesterday. I still have a few more hours to go before I finish my shift I need a glass of wine or a really nice client to come in and cheer me up with a great smile and a happy hello.
